I am currently setting up the site for French doing the translations etc, but noticed that the language switcher is placed automatically in the footer. Is there a way to also add this in the main menu or somewhere else on the site? widget etc?

This is not possible via the core software and would require a customization to do so.

Great many thanks, I will check out the add on. Its def an option that the core should have though.
