Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
rfcontreras Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Hi, I've changed the image dimensions for my forum, both the maximum size to save and to show, usually after this change there's an option to "rebuild existing images". Now it's missing. Any clue ? Best regards Ricardo
Marc Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 As mentioned in the description there "The settings apply to new images only."
rfcontreras Posted July 26, 2023 Author Posted July 26, 2023 Hi Marc, Yes, I've read that, but it used to have the option to rebuild them, was removed?
Marc Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 That’s not something that has been available for a good while
rfcontreras Posted July 26, 2023 Author Posted July 26, 2023 I've didn't notice that until today. May I ask why ? Is there a workaround ? My attachements are getting bigger, backup's takes ages and I need to reduce the site footprint. Best regards Ricardo
Marc Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 There is no way within the software to do this. However new images going forward would of course not be that size

Best regards Ricardo Images typically have sizes hard oded in the post for lazy load purposes so changing the size of the image would make your previously uploaded thumbnails blurry Marc 1
