I was wondering if there's a way that when a member creates a help topic on a forum that it's only seen by them and the staff? Some members might want to complain about another member's behavior and they might not want it to be seen and I'd rather that happen on a thread than receiving a private message. I tried searching on here but didn't find anything. Thanks

Edit the forum and uncheck Users can see topics posted by other users?.

It's placed in the Forum Settings tab.
