Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SUPERAntiSpyware Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) Hi, Sorry for the total n00b question! (Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.) We've been an Invision Community user for many years and in fact feature it somewhat prominently on our site but don't actively manage or police it. We have never gone beyond casual customization and pretty much just use it as-is without ever having explored the features. Can you tell me the best way (through plugins or other means) to automatically and permanently delete old content, inactive users, etc.? I am not really interested in just archiving content if it still remains visible on the site. We've got to purge older content soon in a sensible way or we'll be forced to decommission our forum. Thanks for any guidance you all can provide! Edited December 14, 2021 by SUPERAntiSpyware
Miss_B Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Have a look at the Marketplace. I think I remember seeing some apps there that deal with purging of old content but I do not remember the links off the top of my head. SUPERAntiSpyware 1
Solution Marc Posted December 15, 2021 Solution Posted December 15, 2021 There is no way to do this with the built in functions of the platform, but indeed as mentioned above, there may well be 3rd party items you can use to achieve this SeNioR- 1
