Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
acarlsson Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) Problem: When a user registers (typically a spammer) and leaves a non existing email address as reference, I - the admin - gets the "This email doesn't exist" error report sent back to me. I get 1-5 of those per day, and it's really disturbing. I don't want those emails. Is it possible to change this setting, eg by have a "no-reply" email address as a register address or something? To clarify: I want to be able to send *other* emails of course. I just don't want to know if someone registers with a faulty email address. Edited June 22, 2021 by acarlsson
opentype Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Option 1: Set up a filter in your email account to filter out just those messages. Option 2: Set up a “black hole” mailbox (e.g. noreply@yourdomain.com) you don’t check and set it as “outgoing” mail address in the ACP. acarlsson 1
