cbob Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Hi, Is there any way, how to resize original images (in forum posts)? I have found only this issue from year 2012.. and is there still no support for this in ACP?? thx Jan
opentype Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 System → Posting → Maximum image dimensions to display In the description text of that field is a link to rebuild existing images after a change of the field settings.
cbob Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 ok.. but this affects only generated thumbnails, not original files
opentype Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Well, the “display size”, however that is. It can be quite large and doesn’t have to be “thumbnail” size. And it’s the thing that can safely be changed and rebuilt. If you touch the originals, you can easily destroy all your uploads with a faulty setting. Why do you want to change them? If you run out of space, it might be better to consider the S3 hosting or a server change.
Rhett Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 The setting you are looking for is Max image size to save, not display. This will resize all uploaded images and save you a great deal of sick space.
cbob Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 of course, I set it up " Max image size to save ". This works great. But only for new uploads.. Is there any task to rebuild original images? (" rebuild existing images " affects only thumbnails...
