I was wondering if it is possible to postpone posting, like the lock/unlock functionality you have today. 

The purpose is to make a post, that is published later. (So I guess, hide / unhide)

This is a feature of Pages.  You can set a Publish Date as a field for a record. 

To my knowledge that feature is not available for Forums, nor have I seen a 3rd party add-on for one.

I had this created by @DawPi for 3.4, I'd love to see it upgraded and released publicly.
