Are you using IPB version 3 or 4?

In version 3, you go to ACP -> System Settings -> System sub-tab -> Security & Privacy. Find the setting "Enable X_FORWARDED_FOR IP matching" and toggle its value. (If it is set to "No" then change it to "Yes", and save. If it already set to "Yes" Set it to "No" and save it.) Then check to see if new registrations show the correct IP.Address

In version 4, go to ACP -> System tab -> Overview, Security -> click blue "Security Settings" button. In the popup, find " Trust IP addresses provided by proxies?" and toggle its value, same as for version 3. Then check to see if registrations have the correct IP Address.

This problemi usually is caused by cloudflare
