If i remove one smilie from ACP, does it remove actual image file? I mean does that brake old posts?

Idea, download image via FTP, delete smilie from ACP, upload image to server. Works?

Probably - install a localhost test board and try it out.

You don't have to delete the smilies from the ACP if you replace the image files. But only if your custom smiley set uses the default smiley-texts (like ":D")

Thing is, that i only got 8 HD versions of smilies. So some of them looks different in retina displauy, some dont. I downloaded IPB package, didnt fing HD smilies in that file.

Aren't they the ones that have the "@2x" added to the filename of the original file? (all in uploads/emoticons)

Yes, and now i have 2 differend style images in mobile screens.

Where can i get that? I downloaded package from Client area, but it seems to be some kind of upgrade package, /uploads/ folder contains only "logs" folder.

This works

Then download & do a localhost install - they are present in a new install, so are probably extracted from somewhere.

A broken image link

OK, so you can brake old posts with that feature. How about letting user to choose delete or not that image? Feature request. Remove emoticon from new posts, but not brake old ones. Best way IMO.
