Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
John 3:16 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I know IPS has setup their tickets in pages and say it takes custom coding, which it should just plugin to page, anyway...Has anyone done this and for IPS4?
Rhett Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Out support tickets are actually all handled with nexus, unless I'm not understanding the question? Are you referring to the tracker perhaps? If so I believe there are plans to export this in the future for use for all. (don't quote me on that, however I think it was mentioned in the recent past.)
John 3:16 Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 That is correct Rhett, I am speaking of snapping Nexus support piece into pages. I would purchase Content tonight if I knew it could.
John 3:16 Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 So, will the Nexus ticket support system snap into Pages, sorta like what IPS has in their support system?
MadMikeyB Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 IPS use IP.Content (now Pages) for their Guides and Support Knowledgebase - but that is somewhat separate from the Nexus support ticket system on their client area.https://www.invisionpower.com/clients/ - Nexus (now Commerce)https://www.invisionpower.com/support/ - Content (now Pages)https://www.invisionpower.com/ - also Content.IPS.com is basically the 3.x answer to a suite without Forums. 4.x makes it much easier than 3.x to acheive this but from my experience, Content and Nexus on the IPS site are both managed from thier own respective areas. Nexus through the ACP and the KB through the IP.Content databases stuff. It's one install which staff have one account on so can add a KB or Documentation Article, or reply to tickets if they need to. Though my experience is around a year and a half old by now.
John 3:16 Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Thanks Mikey, grateful for your answer. That is all I was trying to get in my head. How do they have their support tickets in Pages on /clients and the forum on a subdomain. I want something similar and was hoping Nexus support tickets could be a block/widget that went into Pages. It seems from what I understand, that is not how it works.
