I want to convert a forum to ipb

I just downloaded the application here : http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4715-ips-converters/

But i cant install it on my ipb 4.0 in my admin

Any clue ?

ok i thought it was working for 4.0

as it has been updated on the 5 march ...

so if this converter only works for ipb 3.4 , then what should i do ?

punbb > ipb 3.4 > ipb 4.0 ?

 

i already installed ipb 4.0 so i would prefer a direct solution ...

The converter is not available for 4x yet as far as I know as its still in a RC stage.

The only quick solution would be to go convert your punbb board to 347 then upgrade it.

I'm unsure what the state / stage of the converter app for IPS4 is at the moment, a member of staff may be able to assist with that answer but I (just imo) don't expect to see a converter released (maybe a pre-release of it) until IPS4 is out of RC stage...

You might want to read this but its mostly quite straightforward to be honest.

I would recommend now you're at 347 and that version is working well to take a backup (db and files) before the upgrade.
