I think so. I know its possible by member group. but, you also have the ability to not approve member comments. just dont approve the comments.

As a member if you don't want comments on your own profile you can just set the display option to 0 I believe. Same with latest visitors.

My concern is members writing comments on other's profiles, not my own. Sometimes, I want certain members not to have the ability to leave comments...
