Cool Surfer Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I have around 1000 subforums, it would be great if here is a feature in admin cp, to arrange forums and subforums alphabetically, automatically.

I'm sorry but I must ask - how did you get so many subforums? I suppose the idea would work fine. It just wouldn't help me. :)
Cool Surfer Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Wouldn't help me either. It is something like some one says, I dont need to rearrange /sort categories or forums/subforums, so remove the option of rearranging them, in admin cp. If someone suggests, it must be important for him :)

Amy T Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 With that many sub forums it would take a lot of time and he might not have that much time. This is a feature I would not mind having either. I would also like to allow the members to rearrange the forums so they can have them in the order they want them in, just like being able to close the ones you do not use.

That would actually be very comfortable.. I second this feature, :)
Quillz Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I don't know if I'd want members re-arranging sub-forums themselves, but certainly additional ways of sorting sub-forums via the Admin CP is a great idea. But in addition to alphabetically, the reverse should be true, that is, being able to sort in a Z -> A order, too.

Cool Surfer Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I like the reverse idea. Like sort by descending or ascending. Yes both ways.
Amy T Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I think I would use this a lot as it would save me tons of time.
W13 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 With that many sub forums it would take a lot of time and he might not have that much time. How did you have find the time to make that many?
Amy T Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 It could be that only a few were made day. Some sites make new forums upon request or need so they can build up.
