Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SecondSight Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Hello ! :) I was told I could use phpMyAdmin to know the server status and gather information to configure my server. Is it useful ? Can you tell me about it ? How do you proceed to gather information in order to configure your server ? Thank you ! :)
bfarber Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Here's a relative guide I use for configuring MySQL (everyone uses different guides or policies, mind you)http://www.databasejournal.com/features/my...cle.php/3367871 You can get all the information needed to check the values by running queries in your IPB ACP. You can also check the mysql variables in the ACP under SQL System Vars. phpmyadmin does have the capability to show the same information, and it analyzes it and tries to point out bad things or suggested changes. It's not too bad actually. Blake also uses another tool sometimes called MySQL Report: http://hackmysql.com/mysqlreport
