The Q&A challenge has been a great help in stopping spam on our forum, it seems. There are two additions that would be very helpful: Allow a question to be disabled so that we can try a new one, but without fully deleting the old question and all of its possible answers. An option to disable would be great. Allow wildcards in answers, e.g. We wanted to ask what version our software is up to, but don't want to add every minor version manually, so were planning on accepting "4.*" and "5.*" as answers, but that's not possible currently. Thanks for listening and considering these suggestions :)

If a user is a moderator, they never see the solved_did_it_tho_title banner to prompt them to mark a post as the solution, and also don't see the prominent "mark as solution" button. This means we don't know it exists until a member complains about it. This is because you condition both on $topic->isNotModeratorButCanSolve(), when it should really be something like $topic->isNotModeratorButCanSolve() || $topic->starter == \IPS\Member::loggedIn(). Hello, It should be possible not to send bulk email to users who have purchased a certain product in the Bulk Email module in ACP. Let me explain why we should have this option. In mail marketing it's crucial to distinguish leads from clients. Since IPS forum is offering the possibility of selling products in our communities, we should be able to filter users that have purchased a product or subscription so we can send them specific emails regarding to the products they have or have not purchased. The current menu manager has these "Menu Item Type" configuration. Title, URL, Open link in new windows, and who can see this item. How about adding where to show this item too. For example, I want to create a menu item that shows only on Forums App or Download App or any other app by IPS or third-party. Also, whenever you pick that you wanted to see it on Pages App, it will show you which database or page you wanted to display this menu item on. It would be great if we have such option.

Team, Within the ACP when accessing the Marketplace, it would be very helpful to be able to filter results down to applications that have been previously purchased and/or installed. This would make testing easier to find the resources I'm currently using for testing or updating. Thanks!

Hello, The subscription system is a strong point of IPB and subscribers are often the pillar of a community. Unfortunately, unlike products, it is not possible to display them in the registration form, unlike products, it is only possible to "force" the purchase during the registration. I think IPS rocks, but copyright buys should disable "Upgrade to Cloud" acp adverts automagiclly. It seems you know your community's thoughts on the advert already and I am not sure why the hard stance on this. I mean that AND that this subjective "upgrade" you force our less savvy clients to look at would equal not using IPS at all. Our ToS has 24/7 support, dedicated servers and unlimited storage etc.. its so misleading its a show stopper for us in some scenarios.

Why isn't there a custom widget block for adding random things to your sidebar like HTML and text? I was able to add a plugin to do it but I really think this should be a core feature. I don't have Pages so I am not able to use page builder widgets either.

Utilizing a file share image works well for when no image is selected/uploaded to social media. It would be nice if there was a hook to utilize the file share image within 'Our Picks' block. Currently, if no image is uploaded or selected, the block displays a blank space where an image would be. TYIA for your consideration.

Hello, When the user with a cell phone goes to search, he is taken to the advanced search page, getting there the page looks very long and "polluted" on a mobile device, due to the amount of information, it could reduce the layout as follows. Simpler and faster for the user, keeping the content type.

I have noticed that the drop-down list of categories in blog categories (still confused as to why categories in categories was introduced and forced to use...) is not limited and when there is a lot of categories you have to scroll the entire page to get further down. I suggest limiting this list and introduce a scroll list instead if there are more than say 10 categories.

With the new search filter inside the search box in 4.7 I've noticed that many times I am browsing a topic, then do a search and find nothing, only to later realize that the search box was automatically set to search only that topic. I wish that at least there was a link or a button in the search result that said something like "You were searching only that topic. Do you want to extend your search to the entire forum?"

I would like to suggest a feature for the blogs, post formats. Basically this would mean that when creating a blog post you would be able to choose a post format that would then show that format on the blog listing with a icon over the thumbnail. This would make it easy for readers to know what kind of post it is before going into the post. For example. When creating a blog post I could choose a 'video' post format that would then put a video icon on top of the thumbnail on blog listing. Reader would then know that the post contains a video. Not sure if there is anything in the Marketplace that does this or if this idea has been discussed before. Amazon is one but there are other shopping-related websites that do this, and of course, Netflix does this: based on your interest in xxxx, you might be interested in yyyy. Sure there are applications for the IPS ecommerce platform but I am talking more about community building tools. There is a "recent activity in my clubs" stream on the clubs front page. I would like to have that "Recent activity in my clubs" stream as a block, so I can have it on the front page of my community. But I havent been able to figure out a way to make that block in the blocks section. Help is really appreciated as my community is "club centric". Everything is about the clubs members follow.

I've been experimenting with the Gallery app, considering a purchase in order to enhance my current Core + Pages installation. Please implement the following QOL improvements, and I'd be very happy to pay for the app: Shared Galleries for Post Editor Allow the ability to use images uploaded to a Gallery Album (or category of albums), set at the Usergroup level. I'm trying out the new registration format for 4.7.x and I wonder why does IPS require a person to click twice to validate an email. the process: 1. fill out registration form and click create my account 2. new screen says confirm your email; look for email in your inbox. 3. Email inbox displays an email from IPS that has a blue button with white letters and instructions to click the button to validate the account. Like most systems, once you click that link or button, your email is validated. But not with IPS. 4. After clicking on the blue button in the email, a new screen appears for 4.7 that says you're almost there but .... you have to click…

Hi guys, I have request from few of my members, who's using my Marketplace and advertising section, if its possible to use " publish time" for them as well? I know that in latest version administration and mod have option to publish topic on certain time( aka- my further suggestion idea) its any chance to set up this option the way that Admin can choose which group is able to use the feature? A couple of months ago I got a Samsung Z Fold3 because it opens to almost a full tablet size. I was able to do work on our forum using it without a problem. Things like approving new members and banning naughty one was easy. But after one of the recent updates I now get a message saying that it is no longer mobile compatible. Are there any plans for reverting it for mobile use again? Or an option to "view as web browser page" as some sites do? Or is this "end user error" on my part and I need to adjust something? I mean look how cool this phone is? 🙂 It even has a Windows-like task bar.
