Thats correct. Im not sure what it is being reported there. You wouldnt feature the main post in a topic, as its already front and centre

If “Our Picks” no longer exists and “Featured content" has been created instead, where can I activate it so that my users can use it again? I can't find the option to activate this function. They only can use report or share this post.

In the past it was a separate function next to the moderation function “Feature” and my users could, if they were authorized, also “Share” the topic in the "Our Picks Collection" in v5 they can no longer do so.

Or is this function completely removed for users and only moderators can use the feature function?

Only moderators have every been able to use either or those. My Picks was also something that had to be given permissions in the admin CP, and intended for staff. To feature a topic itself, you would do that from the actions menu

I just want to know whether it will be implemented at a later date or whether it will be completely dispensed with?
To feature a post, yes... This is possible via the “Standard Action Menu” for moderators / admins.
When I upgrade from v4 to v5, I still see the old “picks from members” next to the posts that are now also “featured”.

So my request points on... What happend to "Our Picks" for Members.

Our picks has never been intended for use via members. You had to have set it to be allowed from the social media sharing section in the admin CP, whose intended use was staff. (I appreciate you have been using it otherwise, but that has never been its intended use)

While I'm sending messages to you, I believe the forum is having a small problem reloading new replies.

I'm trying to reload the page every time I post a reply or message to a topic. Is this happening to you?

Please note that this is only happening here at IPS, as it's normal in my community.

Featured Content in IC5 is almost the same as our picks in IPS4!

If you want to allow your members to use it, you can create a new member group, make it a moderator group and allow it only to feature and unfeature content.
