Hi,

we are encouraging users on our new board, hosted by Invision (v.5.05) and we cannot see a way to allow at the user or group level for blog posts to appear without first requiring approval. Admins have to approve every blog entry. Is there a way configure this to allow users or groups to be able to make blog entries that appear automatically? I've been through the entire AdminCP and I don't see anything that governs this at a perms level.

thanks!

Please could you double check this is on a new entry? I ask as this was a bug previously on an old release, which should be resolved

This was a newly created blog, and 2 blog posts created after the 5.05 upgrade. Both posts required approval

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

I'm guessing from this thread, there is no way to approve a blog entry in version 5.0.5?

You can approve entries. What you cant do is set it so they dont have to be approved

Maybe my installation has a bug, but I cannot find where the admin can appove blog entries. I've attached the results of my system settings. What's the remedy?

You would approve in the mod CP on the front end, or from the items themselves. Not from the admin CP. If you dont have permission you would look in Members->Staff->Moderators, and edit any entries relating to yourself there to ensure you have permission to hide and unhide items

Glad that helped. Just shout up if there is anything else you are unsure of
