Posted Monday at 05:19 PM2 days What happens after a thread is deleted, if it contained posts and reactions? Does the system automatically deduct those posts and reactions from the users counts? I think that would be the correct behavior.
Monday at 05:33 PM2 days Nothing unless you run a rebuild of the post count or rebuild achievements, etc.
Monday at 05:35 PM2 days Author How can I achieve this? I want the posts and reactions received by users in the deleted thread to be removed from profile.
Monday at 05:37 PM2 days There is no way in which to achieve this currently. Items are not removed when content is deleted
Monday at 05:37 PM2 days I don't think this is possible in the default software. It would require some sort of customization as far as I'm aware of. Marc is typing, so he can confirm if I'm crazy. :)
Monday at 05:38 PM2 days How can I achieve this? I want the posts and reactions received by users in the deleted thread to be removed from profile. You would run a rebuild by going to a ACP -> Members -> select a member -> click on Posts or Reputation -> Recount -> Recount for all members.
Monday at 05:41 PM2 days Author You would run a rebuild by going to a ACP -> Members -> select a member -> click on Posts or Reputation -> Recount -> Recount for all members. What does this option do? Will the count be rebuilt to reflect the actual number, taking the deleted content into account? There is no way in which to achieve this currently. Items are not removed when content is deletedNow I’m confused. So what the person above said won’t help me? Are you planning a tool that would allow recalculating the number of posts and reactions to reflect the actual count after a thread is deleted? If a user received reactions and made posts in a thread that later turns out to be spam, manually revoking all of that becomes very problematic.

You need to manually click the button to recount items. They are not done automatically when the deletion occurs.

There is no way to have this done automatically. If you would like to see that sort of functionality in the future, you should suggest it in the feedback forum. Monday at 05:45 PM2 days Author Alright, I understand now. I managed to revoke the points and recalculate them for everyone it’s working correctly now. It would be useful to create a function that performs this periodically as a cron job.My use case is a system of badges and title promotions. This kind of post and reaction farming through useless threads, intentionally created just to increase post or reaction counts, is a real problem. Automatic recalculations upon deleting a post or thread would be incredibly valuable — truly worth its weight in gold. Edited Monday at 05:50 PM2 days by PanSevence
