flood control for guest reports over api?

hi, feeding ips with reports of comments/posts over an api, which is allowed for guests. now i see there is no flood control which is a problem. is there an on-board solution for this problem?

The API doesn’t have any “protection” per se, we’re expecting from the client application to implement their own spam/flood protection if it’s needed.
