chako Posted Tuesday at 02:03 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:03 AM I run a forum board and one of the main products in my industry is called B&R. When any one tries to search for "B&R" in the search board of Invision Board, it comes up with nothing. I've tried B and R. I've tried quotes "B&R" etc Is there any settings or anything I can do to make this search query work? I thought it was fixed in a previous version but now since upgrading, the problem came back for me. Any suggestions or help? Pointers I could try?
Marc Posted Tuesday at 08:29 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:29 AM As its only 3 characters, its likely that causing you issues with finding, rather than the ampersand. mysql search, by default, has a minimum 4 letters for full text search. You would need to contact your hosting company if you wish to have this changed, as its a mysql setting. This may help you if you are doing this yourself https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.4/en/fulltext-fine-tuning.html chako 1
