How to delete all spammers (group) and banned (group)

 

I can choose them:

app=core&module=members&controller=members&filter=members_filter_banned&sortby=joined&sortdirection=desc

 

but how toselect and delete them?

If you have done a search, there is a prune button at the top of the page 🙂 

I thought so, but I couldn't find.

I was searching with the top right field

filter "members"

-> got all members

selecting "spammers" like you see on my screenshot

Question: from the system: are you sure it's about 1.000 members...

my answer: yes

than the system was deleting ALL members, not only spammers

-> restore the forum  with backup

You can only do it when you have actively filtered using search. There you are just clicking the spammers section, which wont give you the filter option

 

If you filter by members, you will indeed get all members. Its filtering the entire member list, not the tab you have selected

The system wrote it will delete only about 1.000 members (the spammers) but in fact it was deleting all members.

Ah of course. This is not a filter in there at present unfortunately.

So how to delete them? Because there is even not a checkbox in front of the names.

There would be no way in which to delete those en-masse at present.

Its worth noting here, that this isnt something we would advise either. At present, as they are marked as spammers and on your site, those people cannot re-register. If you deleted them, then they can

It's a distressing form of communication because I was starting with the question:

than you told me that I am stupid because there is a button

I pointed out there is no button

than you told me to use the search

than I pointed out there is no search for spammers

than you admit there is no search

than I ask you how to delete members I don't want

 

and finally you answered that I would be stupid to delete them and deleting them is NOT possible.

I accidentally deleted even all the members, mistakenly thinking that the filter which is there was only targeting the spammers, but it's only a view filter not a select filter.

 

You see my point? 

You are worried about registering again? No, that was maybe a solution 10 years ago. I our days with AI you can populate a forum with unlimited names.

should be answered: It's not possible, we can not filter them. We know the database is currently being populated, but the option to delete multiple entries at once is not yet available for these groups.

You had stated that you had done a search. My mistake was that I didnt check you had done a search using the advanced search form. My apologies for this. I will say however

This never happened, and someone skim reading may very much misjudge what I have said based on your statement. 

I simply made a mistake in thinking you could filter using the main search form, of which of course you cannot. 

Writing in a second language poses a significant challenge for me, making it harder to fully grasp your message.

Additionally, the software isn’t functioning as I anticipated, and the inability to perform a mass deletion without a programmer was incredibly frustrating for me.

I've managed to resolve the issue of removing the members I don't want and of course, it would have been even better with your assistance.

Sorry if I caused confusion there. Unfortunately, there isnt the facility within the software to do what you wanted to do there, so a 3rd party would indeed have been your only option at that point.
