Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
ArtooStark Posted Friday at 06:44 AM Posted Friday at 06:44 AM I noticed the fact that the auto-generated URL for community posts is generated based on the title. This fact is not a problem in the English community, but I am currently managing a multilingual community, currently with English and Chinese, and may expand to other languages in the future. I hope to be able to freely choose the generation logic in the background settings, and it would be great if there are several presets. There is another problem. The URL of the username is also directly related to the username filled in when the user registered, but some usernames are strange, and they will deliberately register special nicknames such as Admin. 2 minutes ago, ArtooStark said: I noticed the fact that the auto-generated URL for community posts is generated based on the title. Solution Marc Posted Friday at 08:32 AM Solution Posted Friday at 08:32 AM Crawlers for the most part will be crawling as guest and will crawl the default language of your site anyway. So having things in multiple languages for that purpose, wouldnt actually have any effect. With the usernames, you can stop people from registering with certain usernames. Take a look in Members->Member Settings->Ban settings. You can sett usernames that are not registerable there

No other languages. Also I want to have presets like WordPress.
Marc Posted Friday at 10:14 AM Posted Friday at 10:14 AM There is no way in which to do that within the software at the present time.

Marius Posted Saturday at 07:22 AM Posted Saturday at 07:22 AM There was a plugin called "Friendly URL Translit" for this. I hope IPS adds this option in the new Invision Community 5, so I can get rid of diacritics in links.
