Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
Dreadknux Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I love how the Event's 'Overview' landing page is designed, and would love to use it more, but at the moment its weird method of organisation is utterly confusing and not fit for purpose. Please take a look at the below V4 Events Overview page, from my own site: As you can see, it's insanely confusing and all over the place. October's view has an entry that is labelled as "September" (I understand why; because it's a multi-date event that ends on 6 October; but at a glance it is super confusing for users), multiple ended entries at the start of the list except for the couple of entries that are actually at the END of the list(???), and all the while the actually active events are buried right in the middle of the whole thing (with another ended event wedged between two currently-active events, for good measure). It just doesn't make any kind of sense. Please can we rethink this for a future update? I think a decent and quick solution would be to simply organise the Overview grid items under different headers, with active events at the top, upcoming underneath and ended events right at the bottom. Example below: = HAPPENING NOW = [grid of events happening now] = UPCOMING = [grid of events lined up for the month that have not happened yet] = ENDED = [grid of events that ran during the month already but have already ended] teraßyte and Chris59 2
