Although I don't have a great way to test across multiple versions of Firefox, the register button for new users on the 4.7.18 version of the IPS forum does not work in Firefox 130.0.1. The button itself shows, but clicking it does not post a registration request. Our board is a fresh install and no modifications beyond adding custom CSS for pages have been done.

What do we need to do to get registration working on Firefox in addition to other browsers?

I would ensure all custom items are disabled for testing as even small CSS items can impact browsers differently. Testing this myself on the latest release of Firefox, I am not seeing any issues. 

You may wish to disable all Firefox plugins to test as well.

The CSS changes were targeted enough I really doubt they were related (they did not interact with the theme at all), but even deleting them and making sure all addons have been disabled and removed did not resolve the issue. The system cache has also been cleared. No luck so far with the button functionality.
