mysql 5 upgrade

On the lasest version of the foum now but need to upgrade MySql    from version 5.5

It is just a case of getting my host to upgrade it or does something more need to be done ?

Yes, from our perspective, they would need to perform the upgrade of MySQL and then if any connection settings change, you'll want to update that in conf_gloabl.php
