Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted August 16, 2024Aug 16 I have 16 moderator groups. Some of them are older and some newer, and their settings are not in sync. Rather than editing each one separately, is there a way to do a bulk edit on the moderation settings? Thanks.
August 16, 2024Aug 16 There is not a way to edit multiple member group permissions at once. Personally I would recommend looking at finding a way to consolidate the number of groups you have! Edited August 16, 2024Aug 16 by Randy Calvert
August 16, 2024Aug 16 Author That's as consolidated as I can get it at this time. Thanks for the info.
August 16, 2024Aug 16 Are you looking to make all moderator groups the same? Or, are you looking to edit certain settings to all moderator groups? For the first one, you may want to simply simplify and consolidate the member groups. For the second one, there is the copy value setting.
August 16, 2024Aug 16 Author In general, I want the groups to have the same settings. But there are different people in each group (sometimes overlapping) and they moderate specific forums. So there may be 5 people in one group and 2 in another; there are people in 1 group and others in 2 or 3. They don't want to get the moderation messages for other forums. I don't know about the copy value setting - what is that?
August 19, 2024Aug 19 Community Expert Next to any setting there is a cog icon for copying that setting elsewhere. That would work only on the group itself though.
