we had a spate of emails from users that say there is an error with the linked page in the message. The response is "I'm having issues signing up" and looking at the members page, the last 19 registrations all show that they need to validate their address.

The site is AWS hosted, so not sure if this is a new issue.

The link in the email opens a page with the following:

Hello,

You have a customised 'registration validation' email template, you will need to restore this and then re-apply your customisations. The validation URL changed in 4.7.18 to add further protection.
