Events sends reminder emails?

I thought events would send reminder emails but I have been trying to test it and can't make it work. I am not getting any notifications or emails. Might be fat-fingering something but can't see what it is.

Please check the following 2 things

  • In Notification options, make sure you are set to Receive notifications about Event reminders
  • Make sure you have clicked "Set Reminder" on the event
  • Author

The event has to take place in the future. Then a "Set Reminder" button will appear on the vent.

Ok I think I was not setting test events far enough in the future. I see it now.
