Removing unnecessary empty space before/after content

In 3.x spaces and newlines before and after the post content were removed.
I suggest this is implemented in 4.x.

I agree, all that white space can be annoying. I use the plug-in "Trim Empty Lines in Posts" but it's not perfect, some empty lines remain. I wish there was a native way to handle this (without the need for a 3rd party plug-in).

We have also tried that plug-in, but it deletes lineshifts inside the content. Which may be intentional by the poster.

Very much agree that a native way is needed, we avoid 3.party extensions at all costs.
