Hi I'm having trouble with outgoing emails from the forum? They appear to be lacking headers needed to properly authenticate an email so all emails are bouncing and flooding my mail server. Example of a bounce back from Google: Can someone help me with this?

Remote-MTA: dns; gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550-5.7.1 [67.202.70.12] Messages missing a valid messageId header are not
 550 5.7.1 accepted. i8-20020a255408000000b006a67418438esi2635962ybb.421 - gsmtp

You need to check with your hosting company in order to resolve this. The issue you are having is generally caused by missing SPF records on your email setup

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to toggle off the sending of outgoing emails to people when they post?

Sorry, there is no quick disable. Each individual would need to unfollow the topic.

Sorry, could I just clarify what you are asking there? Are you asking how to switch of outgoing emails for followed items altogether, for everyone?

Yes that way I don't have to deal with this issue and all the bounce back emails clogging my inbox. Thanks,

Marc… would that “unsubscribe” anyone who is following a topic already or just change the behavior going forward so that it does not get worse?

It wouldnt for anyone who is already subscribed. It would only change defaults for new users, and existing users if requested
