I just found out you can edit the live home page without going in ACP

Another qestion would be how make html code to be recognized in decriptions of subforums?
I plan on using some gametracker codes that include a live image and a link,on phpbb they used to work fine

1/ Make sure the user's group (e.g. Administrators) can post HTML:

 

2/ Click on source tab in the forum description and you can add html there....
