Activity stream does not refresh

Hi there,

I have noticed that Activity stream does not refresh "automatically" even though notifications are updated .

I remember when I set up my forum 2 years ago it worked fine. Now one has to refresh the Activity stream for updated comments and posts.

I run maintenance tasks with traffic and there has never been a backlog of tasks. It's no problem but it is nice to get updated activity with no refresh.

Is it because I don't run crons?

The Activity Stream should automatically refresh.
