How to make a backup?

Hello,

I have all the forums set up and would like to make a backup before the start. The Forum is self-hosted.

How do I do that? Can I set the number of times a backup should be made? Daily, Weekly...

I can't find a setting.

I'm not aware that there is a setting.

The typical way is to do it via your server. You can use something like phpmyadmin to manually download the database (which is what I do prior to upgrading) or set up something called a cron job to have the process automated:

Your hosting environment ought to have some means of backing up your files.

There is no setting in the ACP.

Provided you are using cPanel on the server there is a function to backup your database(s).

Using phpMyAdmin is not reliable.
