Hello again... Wondering how to change a custom forum icon so it looks more obvious between read and unread states. Basically I made my icon a red circle and the difference between the icon on read and unread forums is almost imperceptible. Unsure if this is a theme thing or an IPS thing.

Got it, thanks... While I'm asking... How would I change the body font with for comments? I like Roboto, but prefer font-weight: 300. Would that be added to the same custom css file?

Been changing colors and making small edits to the mdPanel theme (super awesome by the way) and ran into what I think might be a bug. I've made very few CSS edits and no template changes but am seeing the following behavior when I click the "options" moderator / admin drop down in replies. Seems like the dropdown is on a lower layer than some of the other content so it obscures some selections in the dropdown.

Bug report: Appears that hiding posts isn't functioning properly.

Again, do not believe I made CSS changes that affected this, but when hiding a post and viewing in another browser as "guest", I can still see the hidden post.

 

You should report this to IPS with a ticket. this isn't a theme issue.

 

Can you verify seeing it on your own install?

I have no idea how or why, but I was just updating a color in the 'frontend' protion of the theme editor and suddenly every variable for all fields and all sections became FFFFFF. I'm really hoping I didn't juts lose all my work. I still have many windows open and wondering if I can recover the CSS and overwrite the file so all the variables revert to what they were before this glitch.

Any clue what could have caused this?

Actually seeing now that even the navigation is on the wrong side like the theme completely reset itself.

Honestly I'm scared to even try.

So, I'm still holding out hope but assuming all those variables are stored in the DB and the last backup is out of date. I still have a bunch of browser windows open, but thinking when I view the CSS file, its already loading the borked version.

@TAMAN Yes, the more I look, the more it seems to be an IPS issue and nothing to do with your theme. Just coincidence that I also happened to update your theme a bit before it happened. 

I do have a detailed support ticket open and am waiting now to hear back on it. So discouraging... Literally was fine tuning the last few colors and looks like I just lost a weeks worth of work.

Bummed.

But how do I pull the colors from the original (the good version that I left the window open on)? Besides using the inspector panel to look at CSS, I'm not sure how its done.

To clarify... I have several browser windows open of the theme before the issue. All front end pages, not the back end.

If I create a new version of the theme and open the editor of the new version, how do I relate elements on the front end with the editor on the backend?

Is there a cheat sheet of some sort that describes what relates to what? In teh editor, it'll say something like "Moderated Light Background" but when viewing the CSS class its almost always something entirely different that would be hard to guess.

Unfortunately it was just the front end pages. I guess I'm a dummy for not insuring I had a backup or versioning system in place. That said, can you recommend anything beyond manually copying or downloading the theme? 

And no, this issue only affected the active default theme that I was working on. There was a copy of my theme that was a week old that at least got me halfway there. Better than nothing.

Here's some examples...

I can see the description on the left is color coded, but no idea what it represents. Data item background: Status, Data item background: Info, Data item background: Warning are all items I haven't been able to locate and thus have not chosen my own colors for. Makes sense that some of these would represent many items, but there's nowhere that sort of clues you in to it? Seems crazy that this would all be a matter of trial and error.

 

 

Ah, makes sense now why I wouldn't be able to see them... Several are dependent on a certain feature being activated.

@Taman nice theme. Would buy it if you could add an option where you can place the sidebar underneath the vertical menu 

To clarify if you enable left sidebar does it go underneath the navigation or at the side? would be great if left sidebar went underneath it.

As you know via DM, I've recently upgraded my forum and MD Panel theme. Shortly after I got a few complaints regarding a change that occurred within the thread pages and wondering if there's a setting that might affect this or if it was a change to either the forum or theme?

At the bottom of threads, where it says "go to topic listing" it used to also have the forum section name. Then on the other side where it says "go to next unread thread" it would have the thread name underneath.

Honestly its been so long since I dove deep into code or templates that I can't remember if this was somehow coded in after. Also, its not a feature I use so am only going off what a bunch of our forum users have said as they really seem to miss this after the upgrade.

I've uploaded an image to the slider however the image does not show, everything else works ok.

was a caching issue on my end. 

 

Next thing is how can i stop the slider image being so big ? can i set a specific size for the image as they over stretch and it doesnt look nice.

Can you increase the padding on this part of the theme, it ends right under the text so when choosing some of the presets in the pallette it stands out a mile

Suddenly seeing some issues after upgrading IPB today. Noticed there was an mdPanel update so I Installed that as well, but didn't seem to fix the issues. I have yet to do a thorough audit, but here's the obvious issues I spotted:

1. Main menu is no longer functional on mobile
2. Manage blocks menu no longer functional on mobile
3. Our Picks (renamed on my site as 'Spotlights') is no longer displaying on the forum index (was set to be the first content block above forum listing) and is displaying incorrectly on the actual Our Picks page. 
4. Even the menu in the Admin section is acting a bit weird. Not seeing tabs for the theme but rather all is displayed on a super long page.

*Edit: I just tested with the IPB default theme and see the same issues so seems to be a forum issue. Will follow up with them.

Yes indeed, an out of date plugin. Sorry about that... Since its months between times when I dig through the technical side of the forum on top of all the software platforms I deal with, I overlooked the obvious. Issue is resolved, thank you.
