Profile photo with transparent background.

When we put photos in the profile with transparent background in .png format Automatically the transparency turns white and quality is lost. The avatar is not too blurry either.

Is there any way to keep the image transparent?

I have the same issue.

As an example. The below gif of a duck has a transparent background.

But if you upload it as a profile pic (ie avatar) then the background turns white.
