Renaming 'gallery' to 'photos?

Gallery - Is there a way to rename this globally on the frontend as "Photos" ?

Yes, that can be most easily done with the Quick Translation tool.

ACP -> Customization -> Languages -> click the blue "Translation Tools" button -> enable "Quick Translating" and save.

Then on the front end, refresh the page and hold your mouse over the word "Gallery" and click-hold on the word.

It will open a small edit box. Change the text from Gallery to Photos, and be sure to press enter.

Then disable quick translating in the admin panel.
