I am trying to make a slideshow within a blog post on IPS4.

I found BBCode Slideshow Anywhere very useful when making blog posts in IPS3. However, it is not supported for IPS4.

Are there other ways to create a slide show in blog posts?

You could look into a slideshow CKEditor plugin.

Thanks @bfarber that is one possible solution. I found a plugin which works quite well and does what I want. It is called Gallery in Post and is available in the marketplace.

Google Slides is a very advanced slideshow creation web app. http://drive.google.com and then click New -> Google Slides. 

You can use this plugin to embed Google Slides and other Google Docs formats on IPS, including Google Sheets etc. Very useful.
