is it possible to have different templates on how a product is displayed based on product ID? or product name 

 

also how would one hard code custom fields for nexus

I'm not sure I really understand your questions or what you are after.

He's asking about having different views of a product, based on the product. I believe

He's also asking about having custom fields in nexus (not sure why he means hard coded though, when you can create them... I think)

You could certainly modify your theme templates heavily to accomplish this, but out of the box there isn't a facility to display products differently based on name or ID.
