I can see that one can select payment methods accepted for products but how do I set this up for donations?

Right now my members could technically send donations with POINTS!  I use points economy as it is integral to how I run my site, and I can turn points on and off for each product but not donations.  Thankfully I have a honest bunch but that certainly isn't a solution.

You would need to contact the third party developer for this points application as this is not a stock part of Commerce.

Well no my point is why can't I pick a payment method for donations?   Also why can't you have commerce set to promote donators?   It's a nice system but the donations part is sadly lacking useful features. 

There's no need to select a payment for donations because the user can select any method.

This topic may be more suitable for Product Feedback then here if you wish to suggest new features.
