Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Shadow Wolf Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 With IP.Content 3.x it was easier to create custom blocks. I could do a call to bring up something simple like a list of categories. Or I could do a feed and have it foreach display a specific option. With IP.Pages 4.x it has some defaults built into the Block Manager, you can create a feed, but there is a lot less power in those feeds. For example I'm trying to get a custom block, that I can modify, to simply display the database categories. Similar to how the "Database Category Menu" works from the Block Manager, but there doesn't appear to be a way to manually create one. Am I missing something? Is there a list of variables I can output from my Pages and use in my custom blocks?
Ken Johnson Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Bump, I can't figure out for the life of me how to create a simple feed to display members that are a part of a certain group. Of course I can code it by hand, but Pages should have this capability...
opentype Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I haven’t tried it, but I believe such member-based blocks were supposed to return in 4.1. They are not available in 4.0.x.
