How do I connect to data base run query and display the info using pages app?

In IP content I could just use php and mysql connect now I get errors

Really need help I've tried some old methods but have gotten no where I need to display a table of members that have chosen "veteran" as custon field option  but can't get it to connect to database or display query

The current filtering functionality within Pages leaves a bit to be desired.  I believe in the next release they are going to bring back some of the functionality you are used to.  Seems the release might be in early September.

I have been trying to extract content that I used to be able to display in 3.4, but I think we are just going to have to be patient and wait for this functionality.
