moved to IPS several years back and have the 'convert' app still installed - once i convert to 4 is it safe to remove this app?

does it need to be maintain to do mappings from the legacy forum to IPS 3x? 

Do i need to maintain the legacy documents at the site root:  showtopic.php / showforum.php and the old config.php from the conversion 

should i delete the app ( and the database) before upgrade to 4?

 

anyone care to weigh in?

If you're still using the redirection scripts, You need the app installed (uninstalling it would remove the data).

If you don't think you need them anymore, then you can uninstall the app. It won't break anything else.

I was also told redirect scripts will no longer work in 4, so there's that. They will work in new conversions only. So don't save the app for that.
