By this time one could guess mostly that the built of IPS 4.0 is going well and that most of the upgrades have been codeing and IPB is cleaning up the code, but the core of it is done. So...is it still worth suggention stuff to add to the suite or is it at a point one it will be on next time coming?

Anyone can add any suggestion at any time. Even if a suggestion doesn't make it into 4.0, that doesn't mean we wouldn't consider it for 4.1. :) I don't think people should target a specific version when they make a suggestion - they should post what they think the software should do and we will take that into account, whether we try to squeeze it in right away or hold off on it for a while until we feel it's the right time to implement.
