Makoto Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Very simply self-explanatory suggestion. I've considered simply disabling the 'Hot topic' setting, but there's no actual way to do it. You can set Number of posts needed to make a 'hot topic' to a really high value (such as 1,000,000) to prevent it from being triggered, but it would be better to have it so that "0 posts" would disable it altogether.
Nevo Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Basically, the code shown in the forum listings of the IP.Board skin will have to be modified to have an IF Statement to not display anything if value is set to "0". Or... you could just put eight zeros and call it a day? I doubt any thread will have that many replies.... and if it does, make it ten digits.
Makoto Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 A thread with 100,000,000 replies would be a rather frightening sight.
rmbettencourt Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 A thread with 100,000,000 replies would be a rather frightening sight. I have seen a thread VERY close to that number. It was sad to see really.
Makoto Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 I have seen a thread VERY close to that number. It was sad to see really. Was it one of those "spam this as much as you can" forum game threads?
rmbettencourt Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Was it one of those "spam this as much as you can" forum game threads? I would have been happier if it would have been a spam game :) It was a thread full of members arguing......aahh....I mean "discussion". :p
