Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted November 18, 201311 yr Very simply self-explanatory suggestion. I've considered simply disabling the 'Hot topic' setting, but there's no actual way to do it. You can set Number of posts needed to make a 'hot topic' to a really high value (such as 1,000,000) to prevent it from being triggered, but it would be better to have it so that "0 posts" would disable it altogether.
November 18, 201311 yr Basically, the code shown in the forum listings of the IP.Board skin will have to be modified to have an IF Statement to not display anything if value is set to "0". Or... you could just put eight zeros and call it a day? I doubt any thread will have that many replies.... and if it does, make it ten digits.
November 27, 201311 yr A thread with 100,000,000 replies would be a rather frightening sight. I have seen a thread VERY close to that number. It was sad to see really.
November 28, 201311 yr Author I have seen a thread VERY close to that number. It was sad to see really. Was it one of those "spam this as much as you can" forum game threads?
November 30, 201311 yr Was it one of those "spam this as much as you can" forum game threads? I would have been happier if it would have been a spam game :) It was a thread full of members arguing......aahh....I mean "discussion". :p
