Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
James UK Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Hi All, I want to back up a I.P. Board tables to my PC, I'm a site admin so have all the passwords etc. Funny thing is, I googled this a few months ago and managed to get a copy of my members table to csv in about 10 minutes !! Now I just can't remember how I did it! Any answers ?
AndyF Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 You can export individual tables via phpmyadmin including in a .csv format if needed. If its a complete backup you're after have a quick read of this: http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/articles.html/_/server-resource-management/taking-a-manual-backup-using-cpanel-r240 Note its not suitable for larger boards though as you may get some concerns like table locking during a backup. Seems OK < 100,000 posts though at least.
James UK Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Thank you. The critical step was remembering to use cPanel, use Admin CP all the time but cPanel so infrequently I just forget about it ! James
