Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
sound Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 should invision have one browser that is used as a benchmark ? as in that everything works in it i guess ie8 would be a prime candidate I don't use ie8 usually, but many do and have read that this number is actually increasing the last two releases of invision both saw obvious errors with ie8 that was surprised were not picked up during pre-release testing and some as far as aware are in the tracker system a month later after intial reporting fully understand all the arguments for other browsers and all that but would it not make sense to aim for 100% in at least one ?

Just like there will always be "bugs" in the source code, there will always be "bugs" in the HTML output as well. For the most part, everything works fine in the latest stable release of Firefox. A good number of our staff use Safari, and some use Chrome. Few use IE on a regular basis, but we do test the software in IE (as do our beta tester teams).
