Do you have a hosted community, or a website hosting package?
Sefket4 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 There should be ftp accounts from whoever you bought the hosting from(In the control panel) and lets you change the password there.
ibnyaffa Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 i have a hosted community.. my site is from godaddy and hosted on another site..
Fishfish0001 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 So you aren't hosted with IPS? Are you using cPanel? If so there should be the option to edit, add, or delete FTP accounts from there. If you aren't hosted with IPS it might be better to ask your webhost :)
ibnyaffa Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 ya, support asked me to make a subdomain, so i did and i forwarded it to the ip address that ipb gave me.. then ipb support sent me an email with a server name user name and password. when i went to my cpanel of my forum i seen the ftp manager, clicked it and changed the passwords there, but im still accessing the ftp with the old password and name so i know that was not it. went to my host site and did the same and still no go.. support gave me that username and password.. from ipb

Is this correct?
ibnyaffa Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 yes the subdomain is with another host.. forwarded to ipb ip address to host my community.
Collin S. Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 yes the subdomain is with another host.. forwarded to ipb ip address to host my community. You should open a ticket requesting this, as only IPS can change it I believe.
Alex Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 We're glad that this has been resolved for you. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to start a new support topic. Thank you!
