Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted March 4, 201015 yr We a the admin selects a skin they have to go to the main board to see if it change or not. I think making an iframe or something that would load the main board or front page so that the admin can see the change all or something like that.
March 5, 201015 yr I agree with both. I actually normally have multiple pages of my forum up so I can refresh the section on demand.
March 5, 201015 yr iframes are bad. I hate iframes with an undying passion but not just that I'm unsure that Google Chrome handles iframes very well at all and I was pretty sure that XHTML convention that iframes are no longer able to be used.... I think. I'm pretty sure since target is supposed to be gone to right? *isn't quite sure but I don't like frames* Also, as Panupat says: yea the editor already takes most of my screen space. And iframe would make it too scrolly and be in the way.
March 5, 201015 yr Well anyone can. but I mean seriously: That is my screen when editing and I have a 17 inch screen. To add an iframe into that would just be bad internet juice. Maybe a compromise could be that there is a link to "view changes" so that it will popup in a popup or in a new tab for you?
March 5, 201015 yr lol Morrigan you have firebug openned exactly like my screen. There are people who don't have FireBug open all the time? lol, n00bs. :P
March 5, 201015 yr There are people who don't have FireBug open all the time? lol, n00bs. :P No, I think that is a story that geek parents tell their geek children to make sure they are good.
March 6, 201015 yr With all that's already going on in that page, and the fact that every modern browser supports the ability to have multiple tabs open, I don't see there being any huge need for this change personally.
