as with windows you dont need to cmod files

cant access topics posts forums members profiles etc ran checks on the db no errors found

any 1 else got a windows server can point me in the right direction

It would be slightly more helpful if you explained what was happening, and what was Restored.

Did you Re-image your server and restore your IPS Files & DB? If so, did you ensure you put PHP Back into IIS?

yes server is up and running and the forum is viewable

i have also installed a new forum same thing it's not a problem with the backup

a test board can be viewable here

Ok, but what about the URL Type, and Friendly URL configuration?  Have you also considered re-loading the files them selves as well.  I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with how you have Friendly URL's up because if use the ajax boxes to navigate (say User Quick Cards) it lets me get around, until It needs to go to a place that exclusively uses FURL

I'll move your topic to Server Management, Resources, Optimization as that's more suitable (and more people are likely to see it) :)

ACP > System Settings > Server Enviroment

It's down at the bottom the area called "Friendly URL Features"

Your Friendly URL's are working, but not properly (me thinks) check to see if your using Path Info or Query string for URL Type as well, as that can cause some issues depending on how PHP runs on your server (e.g are you using IIS with php as a CGI or FastCGI Module or Apache etc) off hand it looks like IIS7

yay fixed it thanks man

URL Type
If you're using PHP as an Apache module you can use 'path info' or you can use 'query string' if you're on Windows hosting or using PHP as a CGI module. Not sure?
Use 'query_string'.

change that to path info

superb :)
