Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
mason21 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Would it, if it is not already possible, to add a feature in that allows only the person who created the topic and the admin group to see the post created/reply to it?
Cool Surfer Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 ya, I has suggested it sometime back. This shouldnt be difficult to set permissions for members instead of member groups.
TrixieTang Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 More permission options could allow you to do this, vB has this capability and I think it can be quite useful, so what I'm trying to say is... +1
henke37 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 It's called invisible posts and ipb already got it.
TrixieTang Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 It's called invisible posts and ipb already got it. Not what we're talking about, moderating posts and threads only the starter and staff can see/reply to are 2 completely different things.
Malefickus Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 What would the point of this be other than trying to communicate to all the staff members rather than one particular one? Why not just send a PM? You can see it, the staff (or receiver) can see it, and no one else can. Heck, you can even CC the rest of the staff members at the same time so that all staff see it, and can respond.

I don't see the point of a post only the poster and the administrator can see. Is that not essentially a PM between the member and administrator?
